1 Purpose
1.1 Access Group Australia Pty Ltd and its related companies (Access) is committed to maintaining the privacy of personal information it receives in connection with its business activities.Access places great importance on protecting the privacy of its employees, valued customers and other stakeholders.

3.2 Access collects personal information from its trading agreements, credit application forms, communications from customers and prospective customers via telephone, email or in person and the Access web sites. Access also collect personal information from credit reporting agencies and from credit inquiries that it carries out.
3.3 Access will only use and disclose personal information for the primary purpose for which it was initially collected, or for purposes which are directly related to Access’ functions or activities.
3.4 It is very unlikely that we would need to share your information with organisations outside Australia. However, if we need to do so, we may need to ask you before this occur.
3.5 Personal information provided to Access may be shared with any members of the Access Group of companies. Access will take all reasonable and practical measures to keep such information strictly confidential.
3.6 Access may collect and hold personal information so that it can do the following:
(a) To respond to customer enquiries or requests;
(b) To hire/sell a product or provide a service;
(c) To identify the identify of a customer or potential customer and conduct appropriate checks including credit checks;
(d) To set up customer and supplier accounts;

4 Information collected online
4.1 Access may collect information from log files and cookies. Cookies are unique identification numbers that are placed on the browser of our website users. Most browsers now recognise when a cookie is offered and permit you to refuse or accept it.
4.2 Importantly, a user cannot be personally identified from a cookie but may provide statistical information that Access can use to analyse its services.
4.3 Access’ websites may contain links to third parties’ websites. Those other websites are not subject to this privacy policy. You will need to review those websites to view a copy of their privacy policy.
5 Security
5.1 Access holds personal information in hard copy and electronic formats.
5.2 Access is committed to keeping personal information secure and safe and will take all reasonable care to ensure that all personal information collected is protected from loss, misuse or alteration.
5.3 Security measures are in place to protect information from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Some of the ways Access does this includes:
(a) requiring employees to enter into confidentiality agreements;
(b) maintaining security measures for access to computer systems;
(c) ensuring passwords for computers, lap tops, tablets and smart phones;
(d) ensuring security measures for Access’ websites including by using firewalls, encryption, passwords and digital security measures; and
(e) ensuring the storage of files in locked cabinets;
(f) securing premises after hours.
5.4 Access will review and update these measures from time to time to ensure security is maintained.
6 Accessing your personal information
6.1 Under the Act you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, with some exemptions. We will then provide you with access to your personal information in accordance with the Act.
6.2 All requests for access to personal information must be made in writing to the address above. A reasonable fee may be charged by Access for the cost of verifying the application and location, retrieving and copying the information requested.

7.1 If you believe that any personal information Access has collected about you is inaccurate, not up-to-date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading, you may request correction. To do so, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to correct it in accordance with the requirements of the Act.
